Mary L. Jaehnke

Mary L. Jaehnke, age 57 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 18, 2012 at home.

Mary was born on October 14, 1954 in Beaver Dam, WI to Gerald A. and Eldred (nee Sytsma) Syens. She graduated from Cambria High School and earned a nursing degree from M.P.T.I. in Fond du Lac. Mary enjoyed working as an LPN in geriatrics at the Beaver Dam Care Center and Hillside Manor. On September 17, 1975, she was united in marriage to Gary Jaehnke at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Mary was a very generous and thoughtful person. She always put others ahead of herself. Mary loved her family dearly and was a wonderful mother. She liked to cook and bake. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing and doing crafts. She also had a love of animals and was a member of Harvest Ev. Free Church in Beaver Dam.

Mary will be deeply missed by her husband, Gary of Beaver Dam; her son, Jeremy of Beaver Dam; her brothers, Marv (Jody) Syens of Holland, MI, Dave (Marchel) Syens of Waupun and Steve (Diane) Syens of Beaver Dam; her father-in-law, Lyle Jaehnke of Beaver Dam; her sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Terry) Bilke of Indiana and Jackie Syens of Tomah, WI; and her brother-in-law, Dan (Jenny) Jaehnke of Florida. She is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Tom, her mother-in-law, Geraldine Jaehnke and other relatives.

A Memorial Service for Mary will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Harvest Ev. Free Church, W7444 Hwy 33, Beaver Dam, with Rev. Scott Roen officiating. A Memorial Gathering will take prior to the service at church, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
