Melvin "Mel" L. Toellner age 92 of Beaver Dam, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam. Mel was born on May 4, 1920 in the Town of Theresa to Ben and Molly (nee Christian) Toellner. On August 25, 1944 he was united in marriage to Grace Margelofsky.

He worked at Kraft for 37 years until his retirement in 1982. Mel also worked in Foundry, Stokelys in South Beaver Dam and painted houses. He loved riding his bike, working in the yard and his garden, fishing, playing cards, deer hunting and dancing to polka music. Mel loved to spend time with his family, often lending a helping hand with their building projects.

Mel will be greatly missed by his sons; Melvin (Priscilla) Toellner of Theresa, Chuck (Delfina) Toellner of Mission, Texas, Tom (Deb) Toellner, Alan (Cathy) Toellner, David (Lola) Toellner, Dennis (Gail) Toellner all of Beaver Dam; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and his sister Gladys Krevsbach of Sheboygan Falls, WI.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Grace in 1989, son Steven, two sisters Adeline Wendorf and Viola Wolter along with his special friend Maxine Heinz.

A Memorial Service for Melvin will take place on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd in Beaver Dam with Rev. Mark Jensen officiating. A Memorial Gathering will start at 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service at the funeral home. A luncheon will immediately follow the Memorial Service.
